Healthy food and nutrition
Wellbeing SA is working to support more South Australians to be able to access and make healthier food choices.
Ensuring we eat a wide variety of nutritious foods and drink plenty of water every day is an important part of supporting health and wellbeing, it helps us to reduce the risk and severity of diseases and contributes to living better, happier and longer lives.
Whilst good food and nutrition is important for everyone, eating well can be different depending on individual characteristics such as age, gender and cultural background as well as environmental factors such as food availability and food culture.
Wellbeing SA is working to develop partnerships, strategies, policies and programs to create healthier food environments where people live, learn, work and play across South Australia. We are also working to support more people with the information and resources they need to eat well and make healthier food choices.
