Public interest disclosures

Wellbeing SA supports the endeavours of the South Australian Government to improve transparency and accountability by ensuring that proper procedures are in place for making and dealing with the disclosure of public interest information and by providing greater protection to:

  • anyone who discloses information where there is a substantial risk to the environment or to public health and safety; and
  • public officers who disclose information where there is potential corruption, misconduct or maladministration in public administration.

From 7 October 2021, complaints about misconduct and maladministration can be made to the South Australian Ombudsman via:

Complaints about corruption in public administration will continue to be investigated by the ICAC.
